CORNERED in the Dark marries visceral spoken-word with meditative movement. Four women meet in a dream to weave their individual stories of patriarchal betrayal into a bold tapestry of solidarity and resistance. It is series of ceremonial slam poems, experimental testimonials and "monologues as snapshots.” This work is a call for women -- and the men who love them -- to fiercely take back the night.
