DIRECTION
Roger DeLaurier is a resident
artist, director and acting
professor at the Pacific
Conservatory for the Performing Arts
(PCPA) in Santa Maria, California.
Roger has been with PCPA since 1988.
He has held administrative and
teaching positions and has directed
over 30 productions including The
Winter’s Tale, On Golden Pond,
Deathtrap, Arcadia, Twelfth Night,
The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The
Turn of the Screw, Annie, The
Matchmaker, Cyrano de Bergerac,
Pygmalion, The Elephant Man, Noises
Off, Dracula and Boy Gets Girl. Work
for other theatres includes the
California Shakespeare Festival in
Berkeley, CA, Hope Summer Repertory
Theatre, Holland, MI, the Penobscot
Theatre in Bangor, ME, the Oregon
Cabaret Theatre in Ashland, OR, and
The Great American Melodrama, Oceano,
CA. An alumnus of PCPA’s Actor
Training Program, he holds an MFA in
Directing from Southern Methodist
University in Dallas, TX.

Dr. Patricia Troxel is a
resident artist, director,
dramaturge and acting professor at
the Pacific Conservatory for the
Performing Arts (PCPA) in Santa
Maria, California. For the past 12
seasons Patricia has served as
company dramaturge for PCPA. She is
also a Professor in the English
Department at Cal Poly and active in
Cal Poly’s London Study program. She
has worked as a dramaturge for
California Shakespeare Festival and
Oregon Shakespeare Festival. She is
a graduate of Whitman College, UC
Davis, and Princeton University
where she received her PhD in
dramatic literature. Directing
credits include: Private Lives,
Measure for Measure, Little Women,
Romeo and Juliet, Oh Coward!,
Skylight, Agnes of God for PCPA, A
Perfect Ganesh, Eleemosynary, All in
the Timing and Karaoke Queens of the
St. James for Centerpont Theatre
Group. In addition to her directing
work, Patricia is also a writer and
translator. She was the author of
Little Women and A Servant of Two
Masters and last year adapted
Measure for Measure and A Flea in
Her Ear. She is also the producer
for InterPlay: A Stage Between, A
New Play Festival, which opened its
third production season in January,
in the Severson Theatre.

CAST
Andrés Alcalá (John – Sid’s
Father) over the past year has
performed for Profile Theatre in the
Lisbon Traviata, and in Anonymous
Theatre for Theatre Vertigo. He most
recently directed Ramona Quimby for
the Oregon Children's Theatre. He
has performed in Love! Valour!
Compassion!, The Laramie Project, A
Question of Mercy, and Touch for
Artists Repertory Theatre. He is the
artistic and executive director for
C.I.T.E. a Multicultural
school-touring troupe performing
shows about Bully Prevention,
Diversity, Recycling, Energy and
Water conservation. Some favorite
roles include Richard III and Iago
for Southwest Shakespeare in Phoenix
and Sedona, Arizona. For the Oregon
Shakespeare Festival, he worked for
two seasons as an actor playing The
Moon in Blood Wedding, Florizal in A
Winters, Curio in Twelfth Night, and
Friar John in Romeo and Juliet. Last
year, and recently again, he had the
honor of performing with DO JUMP! as
Paolo Lugari in Entusiasmo! He has
directed Edward II, Shakespeare's
Romeo and Juliet, Mid-Summer Nights
Dream, Twelfth Night, and Much Ado
About Nothing among others. He has
received Arizoni awards for his work
as an actor and director in Phoenix,
as well as Drammy awards for his
work as a director and an actor in
Portland.
Molly Blodgett (Female Swing)
is thrilled to be returning to
Insight Out where she originated the
role of Innocence in the 2003
workshop production of ONE. Some of
Molly's other roles have included
Amaryllis in The Music Man with The
Oregon Symphony, Little Fan in A
Christmas Carol with Portland Center
Stage, Evie Runyon in Appalachian
Ebeneezer with Artists Repertory
Theatre, Dixie Cup in The Grass Harp
with Lakewood Theatre, Adelaide in
Guys and Dolls for da Vinci Arts
Middle School, various roles in five
mainstage productions for Northwest
Children's Theater, and an ensemble
member in Stuart Little with Oregon
Children's Theatre. Additionally,
Molly is active in ballet, tap and
jazz dance having previously
performed at the Duke Theater in New
York in the Showcase of Young
Talent. This past summer Molly
worked with and performed in New
York, with the Joffrey Ballet School
trainee program.
Matt Caffoni (Gene) is
thrilled to be a part of Insight
Out's production of ONE with such an
amazingly talented and dedicated
group of artists. Some of Matt's
most recent work includes: As You
Like It (Hymen), A Christmas Carol
(Dick Wilkins, Tailor), Fiddler on
the Roof (title role), Hamlet (Osric/Hamlet),
Measure for Measure (Lucio/Elbow),
Angels In America (Prior Walter),
Bent (Rudy), and Twelfth Night (Malvolio).
Before graduating from Pacific
Conservatory for the Performing
Arts, Matt also worked as a
choreographer, assistant director,
and producer.
Randy Castrejon (Ensemble) is
a recent graduate of the actor
training program at Pacific
Conservatory of the Performing Arts
and is delighted to be in Portland.
His work at the conservatory
included ensemble work in Fiddler on
the Roof and Annie, Charles/Corin in
As You Like It and Big Jule in Guys
and Dolls. Originally from Los
Angeles, Randy sends his love to his
instructors at PCPA and his
hardworking mother. He is honored to
be working with Insight out.
Lorraine Cink (Evangeline) is
elated to be joining Insight Out
Theatre Collective to play
Evangeline in ONE. Lorraine is a
native of California, where she
received a Certificate in Acting
from Pacific Conservatory of the
Performing Arts. She then went on to
receive her BFA, with honors, in
Musical Theatre from University of
the Arts, in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. Lorraine has recently
made her home in New York City where
she has worked in different
capacities with Raw Impressions
Musical Theatre, Roundabout Theatre
Company and Turning Pointe
Productions. Her favorite roles
include: Philomele in Love of the
Nightingale, Mary in Merrily We Roll
Along, Belle in A Christmas Carol
and Cheryl in Breakthrough, A New
Play for Women. She sends many

Sarah Greenman (Lisa) is
thrilled to be a part of ONE! She is
a graduate of the Pacific
Conservatory of the Performing Arts,
in Santa Maria, California. PCPA
credits include Jenny in Quilters,
the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet, Mama
Rose in Gypsy, A Servant of Two
Masters, Taming of the Shrew,
Fiddler on the Roof, Scrooge, The
Nightingale, A Thousand Cranes,
Little Women, Macbeth, and
Cinderella. Sarah also holds a BA in
creative writing from Mills College
where she was awarded the Hoa Chang
Playwriting Prize for her original
play Leni, based on the life of
German filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl.
While at Mills College, Sarah
appeared onstage in the title role
of Henry V and as Maggie in Dancing
at Lughnasa. Sarah is currently
directing Twelfth Night for Paper
Trail Productions in Seattle, WA.
She resides in Seattle with her
husband Jack where she works as a
writer and massage therapist.
Bryn Harris (Bones/Dukka &
Choreographer) is thrilled to be
joining Insight Out for ONE. Bryn
recently graduated from the Pacific
Conservatory for the Performing Arts
where her work included Guys & Dolls
(Cuban Dancer/Dance Captain), As You
Like It (Celia), Annie (Star To Be/
Dance Captain), and at SRT (’02 &
’03), Into the Woods (Jack’s
Mother), Rocky Horror Show
(Eddie/Asst. Director). Bryn
received an AA in Theater Arts at
SRJC where her credits included
Annie (Miss Hannigan/Dance Captain),
Cyrano De Bergerac (Roxanne),
Laramie Project, as well as numerous
dance productions as dancer and
choreographer.
Julianna Jaffe (Fatima) is a
native of Las Vegas, Nevada. She is
a graduate of the Pacific
Conservatory of the Performing Arts,
and holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts
from Ithaca College. She is a
co-founder and co-Artistic Director
of Insight Out Theatre Collective.
Portland has recently seen Julianna
with Insight Out as Woman #3 in the
Drammy award winning production of
CORNERED in the Dark, as Fanny in On
the Verge and Taurra Eliot in Live
at the Rose Garden. Julianna has
also performed with The Oregon
Cabaret Theatre, Oregon Shakespeare
Festival (Black Swan Theatre), PCPA
Theatrefest, Kitchen Theatre, and
Theatre! Theatre! Julianna also
works with Tracy Broyles’ Theory
1:dance company, performed in He was
Costuming Angels last fall. Some of
her favorite roles include Yitzhak
in Hedwig and the Angry Inch,
Lysistrata in Lysistrata, Lady in
Orange in For Colored Girls..., Mrs.
Bassette in Summer and Smoke, Hecuba
in Trojan Women, Kamala/Karuna in
ONE, Woman #1 in Cornered in the
Dark. Julianna has been a guest
instructor at The Northwest Academy,
teaching acting techniques to middle
and high school students. Julianna
recently finished her performance as
Dr. Scott and Eddie in The Rocky
Horror Show with triangle
productions! She is looking forward
to her upcoming performance as
Fatima, in this incarnation of ONE.

Noah Jordan (Ferdinand) holds
a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama
from New York University's Tisch
School of the Arts, where he studied
at The Experimental Theatre Wing and
The Circle in the Square Theatre
School. He also has earned a Master
of Arts degree in Spiritual
Psychology from the University of
Santa Monica. Noah's New York
credits include Anne Bogart's
production of Danton's Death, the
American premiere of Botho Strauss'
The Park, and the Mabou Mines
Theatre Company production of Cold
Harbour. He has toured the world
with such shows as Andrew Lloyd
Weber's Starlight Express and the
American tribal love rock musical
Hair. Noah's television credits
include Days of Our Lives, Beverly
Hills 90210, The Cosby Show, and
numerous national and international
commercials. Most recently Noah
starred in the Los Angeles
production of Salam Shalom... A Tale
of Passion. Noah is honored to be a
part of the musical ONE, the wedding
of his lifelong pursuits of
performance art and spiritual Truth.
Noah also serves on the Board of
Directors for Insight Out.
Roddy Kennedy (Dream
Grover/Dance Captain) is a recent
graduate of Pacific Conservatory for
the Performing Arts’ intense two
year acting program. He appeared in
many shows during his short stay,
including a Russian soloist in
Fiddler on the Roof, Sven in Light
up the Sky, William in As You Like
It, and male ensemble holding dance
and fight captain positions for
Annie and Guys and Dolls. His
favorite credits outside of PCPA
include Bobby in Crazy for You,
Algernon in The Importance of Being
Earnest, and Feste in Twelfth Night.
Roddy is honored to be a part of
this amazing project and cast and
believes strongly in what it has to
say, he thanks God for the
opportunity and for his family's
support.
Andy Lindberg (Dave) is a
native of Portland, Oregon. Andy was
recently seen with Insight Out as
Grover and various characters in On
the Verge, and in Theatre Vertigo’s
Anonymous Theatre. As a young man he
studied at the Portland Civic
Theatre. More recently he has been
performing with The 3rd Floor,
Portland’s longest running sketch
comedy troupe. More prominently Andy
plays the part of Buckle in the
pirate rock band “Captain Bogg and
Salty,” whose second album Peg Leg
Tango has just been released to rave
reviews from seven year-olds
everywhere. Some of his favorite
roles include Claudio in Death and
the Fool, Pish in The Birds, and
Costard the Swain from Love’s
Labours Lost. He originated the role
of Merlyn in the world premier of
the musical Arthur and Merlyn: The
Marvelous Sword in the Stone at the
NWCT. As well, Andy is a Company
Member of Insight Out. Mostly he
enjoys singing and comfortable

Susannah Mars (Sue – Sid’s
Mother) was most recently seen as
Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes at the
Oregon Festival of American Music
and appeared in My Fair Lady at
Portland Center Stage and Dallas
Theatre Center. Other recent roles
include Keely in Pete ‘n Keely at
The Oregon Cabaret Theater, Marjorie
in The Tales of the Allergist’s Wife
with triangle productions! and
Gilgamesh with The Haven Project.
Susannah has also appeared in Dinner
With Friends at Artist’s Repertory
Theater and with Portland Center
Stage as Rose in Gypsy, Rhoda in A
New Brain, and Meredith/Mother in
Bat Boy: The Musical. Mars has
appeared in the Portland premiere of
Closer Than Ever with Oregon Stage
Company and originated the role of
Mary Reade in the world premiere
production of A Pirate’s Lullaby
with Artists Repertory Theater.
Other favorite roles include Jill,
Debbie, Betsy and April in The Heidi
Chronicles, and Lucy in You’re a
Good Man Charlie Brown. Susannah has
been honored with five Portland
Drama Critics awards; four for
Outstanding Lead Actress in a
Musical for her portrayals of Fanny
Brice in Funny Girl (Musical Theater
Company), Mabel in Chaps (Artists
Repertory Theater), Sister Robert
Ann in Nunsense (triangle
productions!), and the fifth for
Dinner With Friends (Artists
Repertory Theater). Regionally,
Susannah has appeared in Das
Barbeque (ACT, Seattle), as Dr.
Charlotte in Falsettos (The Group
Theater, Seattle) and as Eva in
Evita and Meg in Brigadoon (Coeur
d’Alene Summer Theater). Susannah
has soloed with several symphonies
including: the Oregon Symphony,
Norman Leyden conducting, in A
Tribute to Cole Porter, Say It With
Music, The Best of Irving Berlin and
the “Concerts in the Neighborhood”
series. She opened the Bullitt
Cabaret at ACT in Seattle with a
reprise of her show Mars on Life,
which premiered in New York City at
“Don’t Tell Mama” and “Danny’s
Skylight Room.” Her debut solo
recording, Take Me to the World, was
released on the Los Angeles-based
label, LML Music, and was nominated
as “Best CD of 1998,” by the
Manhattan Association of Cabaret

Wade McCollum (Sid
Arthur/Playwright & co-Composer) is
a child of music and motion. Since
graduating from the Pacific
Conservatory for the Performing
Arts, Wade has contributed his
multidimensional talents to the Utah
Shakespeare Festival, Willamette
Repertory Theatre, Idaho Repertory
Theatre, Oregon Cabaret Theatre,
Celebration Theatre and Insight Out
Theatre Collective. Wade co-founded
Insight Out Theatre Collective in
the spring of 2003 with Julianna
Jaffe and Lindsay Lucas, fulfilling
a collective dream to become part of
the madness behind the magic.
Portland audiences are probably most
familiar with Wade from his recent
performances as Mary in On the
Verge; Hedwig, in Hedwig and the
Angry Inch (triangle productions!
and Insight Out), as Sid Arthur in
the 2003 staging of ONE, and his
eponymous role in Bat Boy: The
Musical. Wade's portrayals of Hedwig
and Bat Boy earned him Drammy Awards
in 2003 and 2004, respectively. He
appeared as Hedwig in Hedwig and the
Angry Inch, at the Celebration
Theatre in Los Angeles, in 2004.
Wade received LA’s three top theatre
awards for that performance: Los
Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award –
Best Lead Performance, BackStage
West Garland Award – Best Lead
Performance and the Ovation Award –
Best Musical. He was also nominated
for LA’s esteemed Ovation Award, for
Best Actor in a Musical. Recently,
Wade had served as a guest
instructor at The Northwest Academy,
in Portland and Pacific Conservatory
for the Performing Arts, in
California. He has also been working
as a musician, touring with Holcombe

Dana Musgrove (Karuna) is a
New Jersey native, recently
graduated from the Pacific
Conservatory of the Performing Arts,
in California. Her credits include

as well as Guys and Dolls, Quilters,
and Christmas Is... at PCPA

Efren Ramirez (Ensemble)
recently graduated from the Pacific
Conservatory of the Performing Arts
in Santa Maria, CA. He has lived on
the California central coast his
entire life. Musicals have always
been a favorite part of theater but
his passion lies with Shakespeare.
Efren wishes to explore the world
and hopefully end up in the Los
Angeles film industry. Some
memorable roles are Silvius in As
You Like It, Jean ValJean in Les
Miserables, Bassanio in The Merchant
of Venice, and Wadsworth in Clue.
Dana Shaw (Vision/Aversion)
has just completed her training at
the Pacific Conservatory of the
Performing Arts and after two
amazing opportunities to workshop
ONE, she is thrilled to be part of
the current production. Her credits
at PCPA include: Connie Boylan in
Annie, Helena in A Midsummer Night’s
Dream, Woman Four in Christmas Is…A
Musical Memory, Kathy U/S in The
Last Five Years, and Daughter
(Swing) in Quilters. Other credits

Tobias Shaw (Dream Sid) is a
recent graduate from the Pacific
Conservatory of the Performing Arts.
At PCPA he played such roles as
Fyedka in Fiddler on the Roof,
Oliver in As You Like It, and Sid
Arthur in PCPA's workshop production
of ONE. Other companies he has
worked with include Santa Barbara
Theater Company, Shakespeare Santa
Barbara, and Arts Outreach. He has
also studied clowning and movement
with Sigfrido Aguilar in Guanajuato,
Mexico. Tobias is very excited to be
working with this talented group of
artists.
Shaye Troha (Tree) is blessed
to be returning to Portland to
embark on this amazing journey, ONE,
reprising her role as Tree. She is a
member of Killing My Lobster, an
acclaimed San Francisco-based comedy
troupe. Having just returned from
New York City's first-ever sketch
comedy festival, she has performed
with KML at many theatres, including
American Conservatory Theatre's
Comedy Night. Other shows/roles
include the Witch in Into The Woods,
the Mute in The Fantastiks and
numerous shows with Theatrefest, at
the Pacific Conservatory for the
Performing Arts, from where Shaye is
a proud graduate.
Holcombe Waller
(Grover/Assistant Music Director) is
a nationally acclaimed
singer-songwriter joining the cast
of ONE for his theatrical
debut. The Portland resident
released his third album Troubled
Times to critical acclaim in May
(available locally at Jackpot
Records, Music Millennium, and at
the ONE lobby merchandise
table). Holcombe has been profiled
in such spots as Spin Magazine,
Revolver, NPR’s Morning Edition,
Paste Magazine, and Out Magazine.
The Oregonian recently lauded his
songwriting that “gently slides from
sedate to searing, from poetry to
protest,” and the latest album left
Willamette Week’s Jeff Rosenberg
“breathlessly hanging on every word,
and bursting to play it for all my
friends.” Holcombe holds a BA in
Studio Art from Yale University,
where he also arranged, directed and
performed with the a cappella group
“The Duke’s Men of Yale,” with whom
he won Best Soloist performing at
the national a cappella championship
series at New York City’s Lincoln
Center. Holcombe is thrilled and
humbled to be a part of the amazing
cast of “One,” and thanks his family

Ben Landsverk (Keyboards &
Viola/Assistant Music Director &
Rehearsal Accompanist)
Brothers of the Baladi: Since
their inception in 1975, their
filial bond has been the music.
First known internationally for
their traditional Middle-Eastern
recordings, the Brothers now
tastefully mix traditional ethnic
acoustic instruments with Western
instrumentation, vocals in seven
languages and exotic rhythms with
familiar grooves. The Brothers of
the Baladi have headlined at
hundreds of festivals, concerts, and
colleges throughout the years. Leon
Redbone, The Mamas & The Papas,
Zachary Richard, Maria Muldaur, 3
Mustaphas 3, and Paul Horn are just
a few of the artists they have
shared the stage with. Credits also

Michael Beach (Arabic tabla/doumbek,
riq, tabla beledi, tar, mizmar &
midjwiz) leads as vocalist,
multi-ethnic drummer, percussionist,
instrumentalist, multi-linguist and
founder of the Brothers. Michael
leads the Brothers through uncharted
musical crossroads. His
World/Middle-Eastern Music workshops
bring him to all parts of the globe
and his 'Basic Middle-Eastern Drums
& Rhythms' available on cassette and
VHS video (the first Middle-Eastern
Video) continue to be distributed
internationally. In addition to the
Brothers, Michael also records and
performs with many established music
groups.
Daniel Eshoo (Saz, oud &
jimbush) joins the group playing the
Middle-Eastern stringed instruments:
Turkish saz, and jimbush and Arabic
oud. He is a native of Ojai,
California, and grew up in the rich
musical traditions of his
Armenian/Assyrian household. Eshoo
has performed at many Belly Dance
festivals and has taught at the
world renowned University of
California Santa Barbara
Middle-Eastern Music and Dance
Ensemble.
J. Michael Kearsey (Bass
guitar & riq) is a veteran of the
Northwest music scene; he has
performed with and produced records
for the Rockin Razorbacks, Upepo,
and Brothers of the Baladi. He has
also released his own instrumental
albums, Suite for the Columbia Gorge
[1981] and Silverthaw [1989]. His
music has been featured on Oregon
Public TV; Oregon Portraits I and
II.
Geoff George (Guitar, Arabic
keyboard & bouzouk) is originally
from Brigham City, Utah, Geoff's
first instrument was the banjo at
age 8. He studied music at Utah
State University. His credits
include extensive touring and
recording with Little Women from
1982-91, an international USO tour
with Native Sons in 1995 and stints
with I & I, Cindy Pearson, I-Say,
Shamballah and many other regional
acts. He has shared the stage with
Joe Cocker, The Allman Brothers,
David Lindley, Burning Spear, Jeff
Healey, King Sunny Ade, U-B 40,
Third World and Wide Spread Panic.
Geoff covers bouzouki, vocals and
both regular and Arabic keyboards
with the Brothers.
Dennis Elmer (Drums)
graduated from Marylhurst College in
Music. He has been playing drums for
over 20 years. In addition to
playing with the Brothers, he has
his own duo “Cozy” – a live electric

Jim Tanner (Costume Designer)
Kate Kauffman (Costume
Assistant, Prop Master and Wardrobe
Mistress) has been working for
several years as a mask and costume
designer and creator. She first
became involved in theatrical
productions her last year of
college, when she was invited to
make 36 masks for her thesis
production. She won first place at
the NWACTF design competition with
her masks, and was invited to try
her hand at costume design for the
Alaska Theatre for Youth. After
producing three large shows in three
months, she returned to Oregon, and
has since worked for Corvallis
Children's Theatre, Imago Theatre,
Insight Out on the production of On
The Verge, for Angelle Hebert's
latest collaborative dance
production and most recently as a
dresser for Portland Center Stage's
My Fair Lady and Oh Lovely Glowworm.
Kate was recently employed at
Mac-Haydn Theatre company in
Chatham, NY, gathering new skills
and contacted from from the East.
Kate is a company member of Insight
Out and she enthusiastically
returned to the Northwest to work
with Insight Out for ONE.
Bonnie Henderson-Winnie (Hair
and Makeup Designer) has been
building & styling wigs and
hairpieces for opera, theatre, and
film regionally and nationally since
1994. Recent projects include
specialty makeups for Portland
Center Stage productions, Bat Boy:
The Musical and King Lear. She has
created custom wigs and period
styling for Kentucky Opera’s 2004
Cosi fanTutte, and was principal
makeup for Wozzeck and Eugene Onegin
at the Opera Festival of New Jersey.
Upcoming projects include Princeton
Opera Festival's 2005 production of
Sweeney Todd and a series of
paintings & ritual performance works
based on alchemical emblemata.
Bonnie lives in Portland and is
wardrobe mistress with Portland
Center Stage, a carver and painter,
and an avid student and practitioner
of western hermetic ceremonial
forms. Bonnie is also a Company
Member with Insight Out.
James Jay Fenton (Set
Designer) sends out all the love in
my heart to Insight Out Theatre
Collective in our first artistic
endeavor as one. Currently, he lives
and works in San Francisco, as the
Scenic Design Associate for the
American Conservatory Theatre.
Always maintaining an active
creative schedule, he has previously
designed for the Oregon Shakespeare
Festival, Oregon Cabaret Theatre,
San Francisco Shakespeare Festival,
The Professional Performing Arts
School in NYC and am one of the
founders of Invisible Theatre
Ensemble. He would like to
especially thank Mr. Wade and his
cosmic smile for tying two ends of
the time stream together from the
blossoming almond tree to the karma
coffee shop. Peace.
Lyndsay Hogland
(Pre-Production Manager) has worked
over 140 shows for numerous
companies including: Oregon Ballet
Theatre, Artists Repertory Theatre,
Columbia Symphony Orchestra, Oregon
Children's Theatre, PICA, triangle!
productions and Profile Theatre
Project in positions ranging from
Master Electrician, Lighting
Designer to Assistant Director. She
believes strongly in the integral
role that story-telling plays in the
health, intellect and vivacity of a
civilization, and is proud to have
helped such a mighty assemblage of
story-tellers present their tales.
Lyndsay was the Lighting Designer
for Insight Out’s Drammy award
winning production of Cornered in
the Dark. Lyndsay is also a Company
Member of Insight Out.
Sam Kusnetz (Sound Designer)
is a designer, stage manager, and
theatrical problem solver with over
130 productions under his belt. He
has designed sound off Broadway at
the Jean Cocteau Repertory for
Tennessee Williams' Small Craft
Warnings, Shaw's Arms and the Man,
and the musical Babes in Arms.
Portland credits include light and
sound designs for Miracle Theatre
Group, technical direction for Tears
of Joy Theatre, master electrician
work for Artists Repertory Theatre,
production management for Profile
Theatre Project, and his current
standing gig, Production Stage
Manager for Imago Theatre's Frogz
and Biglittlethings. Sam has also
designed sound and composed scores
for numerous productions at his Alma
Mater, Brown University, including
King Lear, Macbeth, Fefu and her
Friends, and the world premieres of
Hot Star, Nebraska and Kid Simple.
Sam made his debut with Insight Out
as the sound designer and composer
for the complex and daring "On The
Verge" by Eric Overmyer. Sam is also
a Company Member of Insight Out.
When he's not on tour with Imago,
Sam is the head of sound at Buck's
Rock Camp in Connecticut, and a
founding member of the Cardboard Box
Theatre Company. He lives in
Portland with his lovely fiancé,
three delightful roommates, and two
funny cats.
Lindsay J. Lucas (Assistant
Director) is one of the co-founders
and co-artistic directors of Insight
Out. She is a proud graduate of
Pacific Conservatory of Performing
Arts and The Dell'Arte International
School of Physical Theatre. The East
Coast, Europe, and now Portland,
Oregon are Lindsay's theatrical
stomping grounds. Lindsay has
performed in a wide variety of
theatrical productions around the
world including earlier incarnations
of ONE. Some of her favorite roles
include Stella in A Streetcar Named
Desire, Maria in A Twelfth Night,
Johnny Appleseed in Johnny Appleseed,
Roxy in Bizarre Bazaar, Aphrodite in
Trojan Women, Woman #2/Wind in
Insight Out’s Drammy award winning
production of CORNERED in the Dark
and her ensemble work in 7 Great
Loves. Lindsay has taught at
Northwest Children's Theater,
Interlocken Crossroads, and Maui
Academy of the Performing Arts. She
has recently discovered a great love
for directing and the creation of
new works. Lindsay directed Insight
Out’s 2004 ensemble production, We
The People. Lindsay was recently
seen as Alex in Insight Out’s
production of On the Verge. Lindsay
is currently teaching theater to at
risk children and teenagers teaches
with PlayWrite INC. She recently
directed her ensemble-created play
Live at the Rose Garden presented by
Insight Out, in May 2005.
Gayle MacDonald (Lighting
Designer) is a freelance lighting
designer, freshly arrived in
Portland from the “other” coast. A
recent graduate of Brown University,
where she double majored in Theatre
Arts and Mathematics, Gayle spent
the last year living in Brooklyn and
working as a freelance designer,
electrician and math tutor. Previous
lighting designs include Machinal,
Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Balloon
(inspired by ‘The Red Balloon’),
Equus, Valparaiso, Oklahoma!, A
Bright Room Called Day [Brown
University, Providence RI],
Hiroshima 2005: The Apology Module,
Sweet Dreams of Paris, Big John
Little Ben [McCormack Family
Theater, Providence RI], Amadeus, a
modern adaptation of The Tempest,
Machinal, Hot L Baltimore, and
Metamorphoses [Buck’s Rock
Performing Arts Camp, New Milford,
CT]. Gayle is delighted to be making
her West Coast design debut with
Insight Out and this production of
ONE.
Eric Nordin (Music Director)
is co-composer of the musical ONE
and has been involved with Insight
Out since its inception. He received
his BA in Piano Performance and
Music Education from Southern Oregon
University, in Ashland, and his MA
in Music Composition and Conducting
from Chico State University, in
California. His interests tap into
almost all aspects of the music
world. As a pianist and vocalist, he
has worked the gamut of musical
genres from jazz, to classical, to
rock & roll, to opera and musical
theater. He also is a self-published
composer, writing for choir, jazz
groups, symphonic band and piano. As
a conductor, Eric has musical
directed over thirty musicals and
operas, as well as having been
assistant conductor for the North
State Symphony, in Northern
California under maestro Kyle
Wiley-Pickett. Above all, however,
teaching has always been the
underlying through-line for Eric.
Having taught at a number of
universities and community colleges,
as well as children’s theater camps
and musical theater and piano
workshops, teaching music is his
calling . He is currently Assistant
Director of Forte Music School, in
West Portland, where he teaches
piano and voice. Eric is also a
Company Member of Insight Out.
Samantha Swaim (Stage
Manager)
has a 15 year background in theatre
management as a producer, director,
and stage manager and currently
serves as a non-profit fundraising
consultant in the Portland area.
She was a co-producer of Subtle
Bliss Theatre Company in Los
Angeles, and a production manager
for the Grammy Awards when her work
led her down the road of event
production and non-profit
management. With a passion for
social service she has been working
in the field of non-profit
fundraising and board development
for the past 8 years and was
delighted to have the opportunity to
blend her skills with her
involvement with Insight Out Theatre
Collective. As the board
development director and production
stage manager she is grateful to
Insight Out for inspiring and
fulfilling dreams daily and looks
forward to her work on the future of
ONE
as a managing producer.

event planning and consulting
business. She has a 14-year history
of theatre production and
management, with an emphasis in
producing, directing and stage
managing. She was also a production
coordinator for the Grammy Awards in
Southern California. Samantha has 8
years experience in non-profit
fundraising and Board of Directors
development. Samantha thanks Insight
Out for infusing her life with
creative energy.

Greg Tamblyn (Technical
Director) recently directed The
Rocky Horror Show for Triangle
Productions where he first worked
with Wade and Julianna, which is
what lead to his involvement with
the production ONE. At Lakewood
Theatre in 2004, Greg directed the
award winning Man Of La Mancha. Greg
is proud of producing and directing
the award winning 2003 production of
Peter Pan under Pixie Dust
Productions, at the Newmark Theatre.
Greg was honored with a 2004 Drammy
Award for directing the Lion, Witch,
and the Wardrobe, for the Oregon
Children’s Theatre, which also won
for best production. Listed are only
a few of the shows Greg has
directed: The Drammy Award winning I
Love You, You’re Perfect, Now
Change, for Triangle Theatre. At The
Musical Theatre Company, Anything
Goes, Funny Girl, (Drammy Award
Winner), A Funny Thing Happened on
the Way to the Forum (Drammy Award
Winner) and La Cage Aux Folles. Greg
has directed for the Oregon
Children’s Theatre at the Keller
Auditorium for the past 17 years and
directed: The Big Friendly Giant (BFG)
last year, and is scheduled to
direct Charlotte’s Web in January,
of 2006. At Portland Civic and SRO
Productions, Greg is best known for
his 6 years of directing Peter Pan,
as well as You’re A Good Man Charlie
Brown, West Side Story, The Best
Little Whorehouse in Texas, and The
Little Shop of Horrors. Greg is the
Director of Theatre, at Pamplin
Entertainment, writing and directing
original musicals produced locally
at the Twelve Oaks Theatre. For many
years he has been involved as the
Director/Script Writer for the
Singing Christmas Tree and as
Director/Producer for the Portland
Rose Festival Queen’s Coronation
broadcast live on Portland’s WB.
Greg is most proud of his two
beautiful daughters Ariel and Aurora
who continue to love, inspire,
surprise and teach him each and
every day.
