Dr. Tom Barreto was born in Lebanon, Oregon
and opened his optometry practice at Eyes on Broadway in
1991. He received his undergraduate education in 1983
and doctorate in optometry at Pacific University in
1986. Tom’s professional interests are primary patient
care, ocular disease management, contact lenses and pre
and post operative lasik surgery. He is also a member of
VOSHE which is a group of optometrists who travel around
the world providing eye care to third world countries.
Tom has been a long time supporter of the arts in
Portland and along with theater, enjoys traveling,
gardening and tennis. Dr. Barreto also serves on the
Board of Directors for The Equity Foundation and Live on
Stage.

Kim DeMent has lead past lives working in
company development, public education and in the
commercial real estate industry. Along with her husband,
Steve Smith, she co-created early marketing and
community outreach projects for TAZO and advised in the
development of programs that are being implemented
through Mercy Corp. to address quality of life issues in
tea-producing regions. She has also volunteered with
numerous non-profits and community service projects both
in Seattle and Portland. Most recently, she has
contributed to The Portland French School as APP Board
Vice-President and Chair of the annual Gala auction. She
initiated a community-building program in response to
9-11 called the Neighborhood Kitchen; where neighbors
interact and support one another by preparing reciprocal
family meals. She has traveled extensively, bringing a
broad world view and a talent for problem solving, by
connecting people. Kim brings positive synergy to
whatever project she’s involved with. She is actively
involved in The Unity World Healing Center of Lake
Oswego. Kim is one of many inspired by Wade McCollum’s
message of ONE and is enthusiastic to see this project
brought to the stage. Her other interests include being
Jack’s mom, practicing as much yoga as possible and
using her passport as much as she can.
Share Gilbert is the Senior Account Manager
and Assistant Vice President for Ticor Title Insurance’s
National Commercial Division and has worked there for 20
years. She is the president of the Oregon Mortgage
Lenders Association. Share is an original founder of
Commercial Real Estate Woman (CREW-Portland) and served
on the Board of Directors for 11 years, serving two
years as its President. She is currently the Charity
Chair for CREW. She also spent three years as the chair
of an annual charity fundraising event benefiting The
Bradley-Angle House and SOLV. Other interest includes
teaching yoga and birthing classes, riding her
motorcycle, exploring nature, skiing, tennis and all
types of creative adventures with her two adorable
grandchildren.
Margaret Hinshaw owns and operates Healing
Arts Studio where she works as a Reiki Master and
Meditation Teacher. She has a B.S. from Lewis and Clark
College and her background includes employee benefits,
tax and investments, pension consulting and photo
stylist. Originally from Bend, Oregon, Margaret is a
sixth generation Oregonian who has also lived in
Seattle, Hong Kong, Singapore and San Francisco with her
husband and their two children. Margaret is the current
chair of the Board of Directors for NW Academy.
Margaret’s other philanthropic interests have included
March of Dimes Star Chef Event, Children’s Charity Ball,
Lincoln High School Auction, Pendulum Aerial Dance
Theatre, and Tabitha Cambodia. Margaret has a passion
for arts based education.
Dr. Norm Kalbfleisch is currently an Associate
Professor of Emergency Medicine at OHSU, and the
assistant director of the residency program. Norm
received his medical degree from the University of
Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. His interests
include theatre, dance and raising rare plants.
Dr. Neil Matteucci is a clinical psychologist
who practices at the Veterans Administration Hospital in
Portland. Neil received his medical degree from the
University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle.
His interests include theatre and dance and raising rare
plants.
Mary McDonald-Lewis is a theatre director,
stage and voice actor. She is a co-founder and is the
co-artistic director of Portland's Readers Theatre
Repertory. She has been seen on stages up and down the
West Coast. As a voice actor, Mary has hundreds of radio
and television commercials to her credit. In animation,
she has created dozens of characters for GI Joe,
Superfriends, Batman, The Mask, Wonder Woman, and more.
Currently, she is the voice of OnStar, General Motors'
global navigation system, heard in millions of cars. She
is also a writer, and has worked as a print journalist.
Her experience extends from a field reporter, to a news
anchor , to AM News-Talk radio, to FM NPR. She is
Oregon's National Board member for the Screen Actors
Guild, and holds her MFA in Theatre Arts, from the
University of Portland. Chris Robson is
co-founder and chief scientist at Parametric Marketing
LLC, a specialized marketing analysis and research
company. His industry career has included executive and
senior management roles in both marketing and advanced
technology for large and small companies. He has been
highly active in the Portland start-up company
community, holding advisory positions on both successful
and not-so-successful ventures. He likes to think that
he understands the difference between the two. His
passion is how different disciplines come together to
build successful organizations, and he constantly works
at the interface of business, marketing, finance and
technology. Outside of the business world he teaches
meditation and explores the connections between
traditional and modern spiritualities. George Thorn
- George Thorn is the Co-Director of Arts Action
Research, a national arts-consulting group. As a
consultant, he works with arts organizations and makes
presentations to conferences and workshops. In parallel
with his consulting activities, for eighteen years he
directed the graduate program in Arts Administration at
Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. He was the
Associate Director of FEDAPT. Prior to these activities,
he was the Executive Vice-President of the Eugene
O’Neill Theater Center. George spent sixteen years in
New York where he had a general management firm that
managed Broadway, Off-Broadway, and touring companies.
He began his career as a stage manager of Broadway
productions.
In Portland, he is consulting with a number of
organizations including The Regional Arts and Cultural
Commission’s Cultural Leadership Program. With Nello
